Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors trinkets, gathering tools and weapons. They offer an added bonus or effect while the equipment in use. They can be bought from vendors or other players, looted, obtained as an incentive, or even created with crafting materials. Alongside providing attribute bonuses, upgrade items can also have cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can include inscriptions, enhancements, and infusions. They are generally not accessible for general use, and they can only be used on Ascended equipment or other weapons from the Factions campaign. You can recover infusions or inscriptions, as well as enrichments from equipment using an Infusion Extractor Device or by salvaging using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage Tool.

In contrast to other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded while attached to the item they are upgrading, and they can be reused after being reclaimed. These upgrades are the most effective way to improve the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium because they can increase the item's chance of receiving a quality upgrade by two times.
An upgrade component placed in an item may be replaced with a different one but it is not able to replace the original one (except for upgrades of ascended equipment and legendaries). Upgrade components are only available to upgraded items with an identification level of zero or more. Adding an upgrade to a weapon that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the resulting item as it appears in game (for instance adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can own up to three upgrade items at once.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be an excellent addition to any item. They provide unique benefits and boosts. Some Glyphs can also increase the number of affixes on an item, thereby increasing the overall power of the item. These glyphs are acquired by completing the dungeons. Some are even found in specific World Tier 3 zones. It is important to remember that glyphs cannot be used on a character that hasn't created a root dungeon of the same depth.
In order to use a Glyph it is necessary to build it from components and connect them with anchors. Then the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths in the same layer. If you don't want to create the glyph from components, you can create it using a combination of paths and anchors. Drag an element near the highlighted component to secure it.
Some glyphs have conditions to fulfill, for example having 25 Dexterity or more in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Certain glyphs require a particular number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which could be a bit difficult to achieve. Some glyphs also have a radius, which increases as you level it up.
Glyphs can be found on a wide variety of items, and can be added to all weapons except for weapons of specific classes. Certain glyphs can be used with additional conditions, such as an amount of Dexterity damage, or attack damage in a particular part of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph adds an 5% chance to block enemy attacks. It also has 15% chance to render the Hero vulnerable for 2 turns.
Certain glyphs can also be applied to restricted use tools, like the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat value. These glyphs are especially useful for classes that employ ranged weapons, such as Warriors or Rogues. The Exploit Glyph renders enemies who strike the Hero vulnerable to damaging effects.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used for rerolling the result of an Action. They are discarded after the reroll has occurred. Reroll tokens can be obtained in several ways, including through the dungeons, raids, and skirmishes. You can also buy them in the shops, or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials because they allow players to reroll rewards at the end of the chest.
Recycle point values are provided for items at the level 1. The upgrade gauge will grow by a certain amount of points each time you recycle an item. This value is based on both the item's rarity and level. The upgraded item also will not be able to keep its level when rerolled and the cost to recycle an upgraded item rises as its level rises.
Another option is to make use of reroll tokens to roll an upgrade item again, but this will not return the item to its original level or give it its original stats. This is useful for those who want to reroll a product they don't love, but would like to keep it in their collection.
There are three types of upgrade tokens in the game: reroll, random and upgrade. Each type comes with several subtypes. For instance, reroll tokens come in three different levels: enhanced, rare and legendary. Each requires a product of the respective level to produce an item of the same quality.
To use tokens that reroll, select "Reroll Token" by right-clicking on the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select a type of token. The tokens that are available include Item Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The Item token can be used to create a new Item in any quality. Making use of an item token or a Weapon or Misc token will produce a new weapon from the same faction.
There is also a possibility that the item will be upgraded into a new item that has more level and same additional stats. This will occur if the item is in the Pool that cannot be dropped or was transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
